Pirate Day – 2nd August
Ahoy There! Join us for Pirate Day at Port Solent on Saturday 2nd August, 11am – 4pm.
Shiver me timbers! We are setting sail for a swashbuckling day of fun as Pirate Day drops anchor on the Boardwalk.
Get ready for a treasure trove of entertainment with rollicking sea shanties, live pirate performances and a Batala band.
What’s happening on the day:
- Children’s Treasure Hunt – look out for 4,000 hidden coins around Port Solent! Find 10 coins and hand over to the Pirate Captain to claim a sweet-themed prize. Anyone finding a special gold coin will get get their hands on special Treasure!
- The Creation Station – Pirate craft sessions
- Pirate Stunt performers with Captain Jack Sparrow – storytelling sessions and small stunt shows throughout the day
- Gliding Pirate Street Entertainers
- Batala Band parade around the waterside at 12pm and 2.30pm
- Force 10 Shanty Crew singers
- Captain’s Beard band performing 3.30pm – 4.30pm
- Mini waterside market
Dress to impress, ye landlubbers!
Whether you’re a fearsome first mate or a pint-sized pirate, we want to see your best buccaneer costumes. Eye patches, hats, parrots – the whole shipshape lot.
Expect mischief, music and maritime mayhem the whole family will love. So grab yer crew and chart a course to Port Solent for a day of high adventure!
