Summer Arrived Early at our Spring Fayre

Our Spring Fayre event made its return on Saturday 23rd May, and with the first real heat of summer arriving, it couldn’t have been a better day for it.

Around 7,000 guests visited across the day, enjoying everything from Punch and Judy and The Rock Choir to the Mill Cottage Farm experience, The Creation Station crafts and a full programme of roaming entertainment.

Market stalls and charity stands from The Woodland Trust, RSPB and Cats Protection added to the atmosphere, while local Scouts ran classic fairground games outside The Trading Post to raise funds for their World Scout Jamboree trip.

Thank you to everyone who came down and made it such a great day!

Keep an eye on our events page for what’s coming up next at Port Solent.

Updated Parking Arrangements Introduced at Port Solent

Updated parking management measures are now in place at Port Solent in response to increased demand from vehicles accessing ferry services departing from Portsmouth, helping to ensure fair and consistent use of facilities for all visitors.

From today, overnight parking for motorhomes and campervans is subject to a £10 per-night charge, with stays limited to a maximum of one night.

Parking is managed by an independent operator using ANPR technology, supported by updated on-site signage to clearly communicate the terms of use. Payment can be made via RingGo.

These changes reflect a rise in demand for parking, particularly from longer-stay vehicles. Visitors are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the updated terms before arrival.

The Lineup

The headline act is a full Transformers Takeover, with the Autobots and Decepticons descending on Port Solent for what promises to be an epic addition to the day. This year, The Joker Squad, a local charity costuming group are bringing their experience to the large unit above the main entrance alongside Scavenger Props, creating an immersive visual walkthrough experience with costumes and props inspired by a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Alongside that, you can also look forward to:
  • Jurassic Park Zone
  • Cosplay costume parade at 12:30pm with prizes for best costumes!
  • GCPD Batman Movie Police Car

Join us on Saturday 6th June, 10am–5pm. Entry and parking are free and The Boardwalk’s restaurants and bars will be open throughout the day.
