Christmas Sparkles at Port Solent
What a weekend! Over 19,000 visitors joined us across the weekend as our Festival of Christmas Markets on 6th & 7th December buzzed with festive cheer, and we loved seeing so many people come down to enjoy it with us.
More than 100 stalls filled our indoor and covered spaces, and the atmosphere was lively from the moment the market opened. Handmade gifts, festive treats, artwork, home décor and so much more were on offer, with plenty of chances to chat to the brilliant local makers behind each stall. It was fantastic to see so many people supporting small businesses and leaving with unique finds.
The mix of entertainment added so much to the feel of the weekend, with The Hill Brothers, Pompey Pluckers, Portsmouth Salvation Army Brass Band and local choirs bringing Christmas classics to the Boardwalk.

We’ve had wonderful feedback from visitors and stallholders, and we’re thrilled the event brought so much joy to so many people.
And we’re not done with the festive fun yet. On Wednesday 17th December from 6.30pm, the Portsmouth Salvation Army Brass Band and Portsmouth Baroque Choir will be back for an evening of traditional carols. It’s always a beautiful event and helps raise money for the charity.
