Call 999! It’s an emergency day of fun at Port Solent

Summer holiday fun hasn’t ended yet with Port Solent hosting its annual 999 day on Saturday 14 September.

An exciting array of vintage, American and British police cars and fire engines will be on display for visitors to explore and enjoy during the 999 Car Meet Special.  There will also be representatives from Hampshire Police, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, RNLI, SCAS and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

From 10am - 4pm, the free event will allow visitors to learn all about these vehicles, a must for any enthusiast or children wanting the opportunity to get up close and imagine being a firefighter or police officer when they’re older.

Port Solent’s Lisa Fowler said: “Our annual 999 day proves popular every September and this year is set to be another great line up of a huge range of emergency vehicles.  People often make a day of it with a delicious lunch at one of our 15 restaurants too.”
