Friday Fright Night set to scare Port Solent visitors with launch of new event

Dare you come to Port Solent this Halloween season? The waterside leisure destination known for its popular events is launching its first Friday Fright Night on Friday 1 November.

Specifically for adults and from 7.30pm - late, visitors eager to be scared will be thrilled by actors from Portsmouth’s Groundlings Theatre and the Stunt Action Specialists and dare to venture through the spooky scare walk created especially for the very brave.  Fire eaters will be joined by lots of other entertainment from characters lurking in the dark ready to surprise people on the boardwalk.

The free event will be the first of its kind at Port Solent following two successful years of Prosecco Festivals during the autumn and event-goers are encouraged to don their scariest outfits for the occasion.

Port Solent’s Lisa Fowler said: “Halloween has grown massively in the UK over the last few years and we wanted to extend the fun by giving adults the chance to be entertained and scared at the end of the working week.  It’s the perfect chance to dress up and enjoy a meal out while being entertained at the same time.”

The event team is urging those wanting to attend not to delay in booking tables at their favourite Port Solent restaurants so they don’t miss out.
